About MeMy name is Alexis Monroe, and I am a single mommy of one, here to inspire and to share my thoughts, advice, adventures, and my story.
On May 7, 2014, I met my beautiful baby boy, Li'el. He has been my deepest inspiration in life throughout my entire pregnancy and of course even now that he is out of my belly. Birthing a child into this world has completely change my perception of life on many levels, some things which I cannot even express or pin point, yet. Everything that I thought I knew about raising a baby or child went right out the door when I realized that I did not want to pass down the cultural traditions of how my parents were raised or how the generations before theirs were raised. While there are excellent values to hold on to, there are many ways of parenting that have evolved since their days, or even more-so, are being recycled. It's time to take back the natural instincts that have been stripped from us as mommies particularly over the past 9-10 decades. I want to be the best mommy that I am capable of being! My love for my son is unconditional and I never knew a love like this existed! Until now... |
So What Else About You?Hmm, Good question.
Well as a starter I guess I can admit to my obsession with Martial Arts. It all started back in high school when I decided that I wanted to wrestle and become apart of the wrestling team, which I had to prove myself as a female and had to really work my way up. A few years later after a little break-up, I introduced myself to the oh-so-wonderful Jiu Jitsu. Martial arts has had a lot of influence on my mental strength, and on how I've become the person I am today. Yes. I'm a lover and fighter (grappler). |
Continued...I am soon to be a female sound engineer. I also have a love for photography, poetry, dance, fitness, music, or anything artistic for that matter.
I am also intrigued with languages particularly semitic languages and would like to be able to speak 3 fluently in this lifetime. I love the beach, and it is my goal to raise my Son by the water. I also love connecting with nature and certainly enjoy connecting with people, and hope this blog will branch off to connecting people around the world. |
