Welcome to the Single Handed Mommies Blog!
Single Handed Mommies was inspired by my journey being young, pregnant, and single.
Soon after delivery something totally hit me! I am young! I am a mommy! What's really going on with my body, and is there anyone out there who understands me?!?!
There were so many questions I had after I gave birth, many of which, I didn't realize until I was home.
...Oh! And I still have questions.
Yes, of course, there were a few questions I could ask my mother or my grandma, however, I quickly connected the dots, or lack of dots, and realized how significantly wide the gaps were from their generation to mine, particularly when it came down to bonding, and having a more baby-friendly approach towards certain things, all of which will be discussed in future blogs!
Anywho, moral of the story is to say that nowadays, we are so privileged to have so many mommies from all generations connecting together, re-empowering our natural instincts, making new & improved products, and best of all, supporting one another.
Objective
Being a parent with the help of a spouse or partner has it's tough times, let alone being a single parent, which truthfully, the sun isn't always shining either.
Within this blog I plan to create a space for dialogue, healing, and most of all, opportunities for parents that are walking a similar walk to mine.
Open invitation
There are no gender limitations, despite the name of the blog.
Recently I realized that there needs to be a space for single daddies as well.
So, I promise dads, I will dedicate a space for you as well in the near future!
In the mean time, feel free to get involved in the main blog posts :)
