If you are a mommy often times doing things single-handedly and have a partner, it would probably be a good idea to talk and try to compromise on a time of day that will give you some time to hop in the shower or nice bubbly bath. A bubbly bath sounds fictitious, but it's real and better yet, possible!
As a single mommy doing things single-handedly there is definitely challenge. While you don't want to put your baby/responsibility on anyone else, it never hurts to ask someone whose intentions you trust to help out, even just for that small segment of a day.
Now, if neither one of those options are successful, there's what I call a
"set up". This is when you gather your little one's favorite seat and/or toys that are more likely to keep their attention span maintained for 5-10 minutes.
Remember, this is for 5 minute quickie showers, not long 45 minute luxurious, spa treatment style showers. When I sense that baby Li'el is getting a little fidgety, and I'm almost done, I tend to play peek-a-boo-ish games.
